A brand new space of stunning aesthetics, a modern, elegant, comfortable Amphitheatre is a stage ideal for conferences, congresses, cinema, theatre, dance and music concerts.

As of September 2022 the long-awaited to be completed subterranean Amphitheatre, named after Ioannis Despotopoulos, the famed architect of the Athens Conservatoire, will be added to the current building infrastructure. It will have a seating capacity of 600 people and will be equipped with the latest supporting technical systems and facilities.

The Amphitheatre Ioannis Despotopoulos is situated in the first basement (-1) of the building and will be accessible via Rigillis Street. Two main entrances will serve audiences and visitors, while spacious dressing and storage rooms will support the needs of performance productions.

Its particular design and modern technical facilities will ensure the successful hosting of conferences and lectures as well as various cultural, artistic and corporate events. The simultaneous use of extra rooms and spaces nearby is ideal for hosting parallel events, such as workshops, parallel sessions etc., or even setting up pavilions for a trade fair.

The venue will also benefit from the use of the modern café/restaurant (bistrot) which will operate on the ground floor of the building.

Upon completion, the amphitheatre will be fully equipped with wifi and it will meet accessibility standards for people with disabilities.
