Το EIMC, η ομάδα αυτοσχεδιασμού WHIensemble, το ΚΣΥΜΕ και το Ωδείο Αθηνών συνδιοργανώνουν το Διεθνές Συνέδριο Διαισθητικής & Αυτοσχεδιαζόμενης Μουσικής (European Intuitive Music Conference) στην Αθήνα.
Από τις 16 έως τις 19 Σεπτεμβρίου 2026, οι χώροι του Ωδείου Αθηνών θα φιλοξενήσουν μια διεθνή συνάντηση αυτοσχεδιαστών, μια ζωντανή κοινότητα σε εξέλιξη, αφιερωμένη στον ελεύθερο αυτοσχεδιασμό και τις λεκτικές και γραφικές παρτιτούρες. Μουσικοί, δημιουργοί και ερευνητές από όλο τον κόσμο θα βρεθούν μαζί για να συμπράξουν, να μοιραστούν σκέψεις και να ανταλλάξουν ιδέες σε ένα περιβάλλον ομαδικότητας και αμοιβαίας έμπνευσης. Το πρόγραμμα περιλαμβάνει συζητήσεις, βιωματικά εργαστήρια και συλλογικές συμπράξεις αυτοσχεδιασμού (playing sessions) όπου οι μουσικοί παίζουν και πειραματίζονται μαζί. Παράλληλα, θα πραγματοποιηθεί εργαστήριο για παιδιά, ενώ οι δράσεις θα πλαισιωθούν από ανοικτές συναυλίες για το κοινό. Σχετικά με το EIMC
Το EIMC (European Intuitive Music Conference) ξεκίνησε το 1995 ως Danish Intuitive Music Conference (DIMC) και έκτοτε έχει ως σταθερή αποστολή να φέρνει σε επαφή σε διεθνές επίπεδο αυτοσχεδιαστές μουσικούς, συνθέτες και καλλιτέχνες των παραστατικών τεχνών για δημιουργικές συναντήσεις, εργαστήρια και ανεπίσημες ανταλλαγές απόψεων. Ακολουθώντας την παράδοση της γεφύρωσης διαφορετικών υποβάθρων, όπου αρχάριοι και ακαδημαϊκοί ειδικοί είναι εξίσου ευπρόσδεκτοι, το συνέδριο διατηρεί το κόστος συμμετοχής χαμηλό και δεν προσφέρει αμειβόμενες εμφανίσεις ή σεμινάρια. Δίνοντας έμφαση στην ανεπίσημη συνεργασία και την αλληλοδιδασκαλία, δεν υπάρχουν προσκεκλημένα αστέρια ή αυθεντίες που καθοδηγούν τις δράσεις, παρά μόνο επαρκείς συμμετέχοντες που ανταλλάσσουν ελεύθερα τις εμπειρίες τους, με σκοπό την καλλιέργεια της συλλογικής σκέψης και των δημοκρατικών τρόπων εργασίας. Σχετικά με τους WHI
Το WHI ensemble δημιουργήθηκε το 2017 στην Αθήνα μέσα από τα εργαστήρια αυτοσχεδιασμού και πειραματικής μουσικής του Αλέξη Πορφυριάδη. Το γκρουπ ειδικεύεται στην εκτέλεση παρτιτούρων πειραματικής μουσικής με λεκτική και γραφική σημειογραφία καθώς και στον ελεύθερο αυτοσχεδιασμό. Έχει πάρει μέρος σε φεστιβάλ και μεμονωμένες συναυλίες παρουσιάζοντας σέσιον ελεύθερου αυτοσχεδιασμού αλλά και παρτιτούρες σπουδαίων δημιουργών, όπως οι John Cage, Christian Wolff, Joseph Kudirka, John White, Cornelius Cardew, Karlheinz Stockhausen, James Saunders, Carl Bergstrom Nielsen, Jukka Pekka Kervinen, Pauline Oliveros, Ανέστης Λογοθέτης, Δημήτρης Παπαβασιλείου και Αλέξης Πορφυριάδης.

The EIMC, the WHI improvisation group, the CMRC (ΚΣΥΜΕ), and the Athens Conservatoire co-organize the International European Intuitive Music Conference in Athens.
From September 16 to September 20, 2026, the Athens Conservatoire will host this international gathering of improvisers, designed as a living, breathing community centered around free improvisation and open scores. Musicians, artists, and researchers from around the world will come together in the same space to play, share thoughts, and collaborate in a supportive and inspiring environment. The conference program features open discussions, and experiential workshops, alongside collective improvisation sessions where participating musicians play and experiment together. Furthermore, a creative workshop for children will introduce young minds to the magic of spontaneity and sound, while the entire experience will be complemented by live concerts open to the public. About EIMC
The EIMC (European Intuitive Music Conference), started out as the Danish Intuitive Music Conference (DIMC) in 1995. Since then, its mission has been to bring improvising musicians, composers, and other performing artists together internationally for creative sessions, workshops, and both formal and informal exchanges and discussions. EIMC follows the tradition of integrating diverse backgrounds, meaning that beginners and academic specialists are equally welcome, and participation fees are kept low. The conference does not offer paid gigs or paid workshops, highly valuing informal collaborations and learning from each other instead. The event is run by an international organizing team with experience in a wide range of fields, including expert WHI members from Athens. The programme is designed to encourage participation in all events whilst also facilitating informal interaction among all attendees.

About WHI
The WHI ensemble was formed in 2017 in Athens, emerging from the improvisation and experimental music workshops led by Alexis Porfiriadis. The group specializes in the performance of experimental music scores featuring verbal and graphic notation, as well as free improvisation. WHI has participated in various festivals and standalone concerts, presenting free improvisation sessions and performing scores by distinguished creators such as John Cage, Christian Wolff, Joseph Kudirka, John White, Cornelius Cardew, Karlheinz Stockhausen, James Saunders, Carl Bergstrom Nielsen, Jukka Pekka Kervinen, Pauline Oliveros, Dimitris Papavasiliou, and Alexis Porfiriadis.
